Service:
Regular servicing of the calibration
unit by the Sartorius service depart-
ment guarantees constant measur-
ing accuracy.
Sartorius offers service contracts
with your choice of maintenance
intervals.
Repairs:
Disconnect a defective unit from
the power outlet! Repair work may
be performed by trained service
technicians authorized by Sartorius
only. Unauthorized persons may
not, under any circumstances, open
the air sampler or the calibration
unit to re-calibrate it.
Any attempt by untrained persons
to perform repairs may lead to
hazards for the user.
Always have defective or damaged
cables or cable connections (power
supply) replaced as an assembled
unit.
Cleaning:
Observe the IP protection rating!
Make sure that no dust or liquid
enters the calibration unit.
Prior to any cleaning, servicing or
repair work, unplug the unit’s
power cord from the wall outlet.
Cleaning stainless steel surfaces:
The stainless steel housing can
be cleaned at regular intervals.
Clean any stainless steel parts with
a moistened towel. Commercial
cleaning agents suitable for stain-
less steel can be used without any
hazard. For disinfecting surfaces,
use commercial disinfectants,
suitable for stainless steel.
Do not use any detergents on the
stainless steel housing that contain
sodium hydroxide solution, acetic
acid, sulfuric acid or citric acid.
The use of steel wool pads for
cleaning is prohibited.
Packaging that is
no longer required
must be disposed of
at the local waste
disposal facility. The
packaging is made
of environmentally
friendly materials
that can be used as secondary raw
materials.
The equipment, including acces-
sories and empty non-rechargeable
and rechargeable batteries, does not
belong in your regular household
waste; such equipment is manu-
factured from high-grade materials
and can be recycled and reused.
The European Directive 2002/96/EC
on Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE) requires that
electrical and electronic equipment
be collected and disposed of sepa-
rately from other unsorted municipal
waste with the aim of recycling it.
The crossed out waste bin symbol
indicates that separate collection
is required.
In Germany and many other
countries, Sartorius AG takes care
of the return and legally compliant
disposal of its electrical and elec-
tronic equipment on its own. Such
equipment may not be thrown out
with household waste or brought
to collection centers run by local
public disposal operations – not
even by small commercial operators.
