Equipment Supplied
(Description is based on the example of use with aluminum filter holder 17655).
5.1 Preparation of the Filter Holder
The filter holder is identical to the one on the MD8 airscan | AirPort MD8 air sam-
plers. See the operating instructions for the MD8 airscan | AirPort MD8 air samplers
regarding preparation of the filter holder, placing the filter in the filter holder and
closing the filter holder.
5.2 Attaching the Filter Holder to the Calibration Unit

Place the filter holder prepared with the gelatin disc filters (or the aluminum adapter
for attaching gelatin filter units) over the air inlet port and attach the filter holder
(or the aluminum adapter with gelatin filter unit) to the calibration unit by turning
it clockwise (Fig. 2).
5.3. Connecting the Calibration Unit and the Air Sampler
– When connecting the calibration unit to the MD8 airscan | AirPort MD8 consider
the direction of air flow!
