Chapter 4

Configuring the System

7. TOS (Type Of Service) value is used to determine the priority of voice packets transmitted

from the SMG-400 on the network, which enables the network to provide better QOS (Quality
Of Service). Input appropriate TOS value and press [Enter].

Consult with your network administrator about TOS configuration. To make
TOS configuration effective, network routing equipment connected to the
SMG-400  have  to  be  configured  to  support  TOS  in  advance.  You  can
configure TOS values, if necessary, regardless of DHCP server.

8. Configured network parameters and message asking you whether to restart system is displayed

as follows. After confirming the parameters type ‘y’ and press [Enter].
