Digital Still Camera Mode : Advanced Techniques 

✤

MULTI and SPOT AE functions work in 

(Program), M, S and A modes.

✤

Use this function to adjust the exposure of the subject to obtain better results.

✤

MULTI AE meters the lighting condition of the overall image by metering the exposure on
multiple points.

✤

SPOT AE meters the lighting condition of a narrower area in order to have precise exposure
control over a specific subject.

✤

The METERING menu allows you to select between SPOT AE and MULTI AE for automatic
exposure metering control.

1. Set the 

Power

switch to 

(CAMERA).

2. Set the 

Mode Dial

to 

(Program), M, S or A.

3. Press the 

MENU

button.

4. Move the 

Joystick

to the left or right to select 

(METERING).

The available options are listed.
MULTI - SPOT. 

5. Select an option by moving the 

Joystick

up or down, then press the 

Joystick(OK)

The selected option is applied and automatically exits from the menu screen.
