POWER NIGHT CAPTURE

The POWER NIGHT CAPTURE function works only in REC mode.
✤
With its maximum sensitivity, POWER NIGHT CAPTURE enables you to make dark subjects and
areas brighter. POWER NIGHT CAPTURE works with the Slow Shutter function to produce
brighter recordings under extremely dark lighting conditions.
1. Turn your camcorder on by setting the Power Switch to REC mode.
2. Slide the NIGHT CAPTURE button to upwards.
“NIGHT CAPTURE” and
indicator will appear on the LCD monitor. The NIGHT CAPTURE
message will disappear within 3 seconds.
3. Press the Slow Shutter button.
POWER NIGHT CAPTURE and
P
indicator will appear on the LCD monitor.
The POWER NIGHT CAPTURE message will disappear within 3 seconds.
The current shutter speed appears on the LCD monitor.
Each press of the SLOW SHUTTER button toggles the mode between S1/25, S1/13, S1/6 and
Normal shutter speeds. (Refer to page 63)
4. To return to NIGHT CAPTURE mode, press the SLOW SHUTTER button to select normal shutter
speed.
The
P
indicator disappears while the
indicator remains on the LCD monitor.
5. To exit NIGHT CAPTURE mode, slide the NIGHT CAPTURE button downwards.
The
indicator disappears.

NIGHT CAPTURE and POWER NIGHT CAPTURE work only in the REC mode.
✤
Do not set the POWER NIGHT CAPTURE to ON in bright lighting conditions.
✤
Using the POWER NIGHT CAPTURE under natural lighting may affect the colour balance.
✤
Use manual focusing if you have an unclear image while using POWER NIGHT CAPTURE mode.
✤
The maximum recording distance using Infrared light is about 9 feet (3m).
✤
POWER NIGHT CAPTURE is not available in EASYQ mode.
✤
POWER NIGHT CAPTURE cannot be used with Manual Exposure, White Balance, Program AE,
BLC, DSE and Digital ZOOM.
