4. Troubleshooting

3) Machine can not feed the paper.

•

Symptom

: The machine can not feed the paper from Tray1 or Tray2.

•

Cause

Feed motor problem

Feed motor connection problem

Main board defect

•

Troubleshooting

1) Check the Feed motor operation.

a) Open the side cover, and push the cover switch with paper forcibly.

b) Enter the service mode.

c) Select the menu below.

(EDC Mode > Diagnostics > Engine Diagnostics > Engine Test Routine > Feed motor > on/off )

Check the two feed rollers operating status.

d) If the feed rollers can not rotate, open the rear cover and check the motor and gears.

2) Check the connection between the main board(CN27) and feed motor.

3) If the problem persists, replace the main board.
