INSTALLING THE STUDIO GT
Windows XP
The Studio GT does not require any special
drivers or software. Just plug in the Studio
GT into a USB port on your computer and
everything is installed automatically.
1. The first time you plug the Studio GT
into a USB port, Windows XP will install
the universal drivers for that port. A bal-
loon tip will pop up, telling you it has
found the Samson StudioGT (Figure 7).
2. When it is finished installing the driv-
ers, it will say “Your new hardware is
installed and ready to use” (Figure 8).
Note: This balloon will not pop up again
for the same USB port.
3. You will then set the Studio GT as
your SOUND PLAYBACK and SOUND
RECORDING default device in Sound
and Audio Devices Properties in Control
Panel (Figure 9).
4. Set the output volume by clicking the
speaker icon in the bottom right hand
corner (Figure 10).
