Installation

The output voltage of this unit is 120/240VAC Split Phase. This type of voltage has two Lines “L1” and “L2” and a
common Neutral “N”. The two Lines “L1” and “L2” are 180o out of phase. The voltage between Line “L1” and Neutral or,
between Line “L2” and Neutral is 120VAC. The voltage between Lines “L1” and “L2” is 240VAC.

The input voltage fed to the unit could be either (i) 120/240VAC Split Phase or, (ii)120VAC Single Phase. If the input
voltage is 120VAC Single Phase, the maximum value of charging current should be set to less than 50% of the maximum
programmable value of 60A i.e. less than 30A.

Please see details in Section 3.6.1.2.

AC input and output connections are located in the AC Wiring Compartment on the side of the unit.

(Fig 2.3 under Section

2.3)

. For access, remove the Cover Plate by unscrewing the 4 screws holding the plate.

The AC input and output wires are led into the AC WirBng Compartment through 2 knock-outs in the front panel of the
unit

(10a and 10b in Fig 2.1 under Section 2.1)

. The 2 holes for entry / exit of wiring are suitable for ¾” conduit / fittings.

3.6.1 AC INPUT CONNECTIONS
