6.4.2. Explanation of individual functions and settings
Menu 5.1.3.0 / GSM
This menu item is only active if the optionally available module has
been installed in the switchgear. Please contact Salmson customer
service for more information and for retrofi tting.
Menu 5.2.5.0/ Priority when dry run and high water sig-
nals are present simultaneously
If the system malfunctions, it may happen that both signals are
present at the same time. In such cases, it is necessary to stipulate
which signal is overriding:
• “Dry Run” Dry-running protection
• “High Water”: High water alarm
Menu 5.2.6.0/ Signal detection for level control
The switchgear can be operated for level measurement both with
fl oat switches and with a level sensor. The following options are
available:
• “Floater”: Float switch
• “Sensor”: Level sensor
If fl oat switches are used, some of the menu items will not be
available!
Menu 5.4.7.0 / Behaviour in case of mains connection
errors**
This function can only be used with a 3~-mains connection. With
a 1~-mains connection, this function needs to be deactivated.
The following options are available:
• “OFF”: Function deactivated
• “Message”: Note on LC display
• “Stop Pumps” Note on LC display and deactivation of all
pumps
Menu 5.4.8.0 / Behaviour on activation of thermal motor
winding monitoring
The temperature sensors must be connected to the corresponding
terminals in accordance with the wiring diagram!
The following options are available:
• “Auto Reset:” After the winding has cooled down, the
pump is automatically restarted
• “Manu Reset”: After the pump has cooled down, the error
needs to be acknowledged manually so that the pump
restarts.
In the Ex-version of the switchgear (SC-L...-Ex), a manual reacti-
vation lock is additionally installed that can be manually reset.
POTENTIALLY fatal danger due to electrical voltage
To reset the relay by hand, the cover must be
opened. There is a risk of fatal injury due to live
parts! This work may only be carried out by a qual‑
ifi ed electrician.
Menu 5.4.9.0 / Behaviour when “External OFF” contact
is open
Automatic mode on the switchgear can be activated and deacti-
vated via the “External OFF” contact using a remote switch (e.g. a
fl oat switch). This enables additional dry-running protection to be
realised for example. This function overrides all other switching
points and all pumps are switched off. If this function is used, you
can stipulate how signalling should take place in case of an open
contact here:
• “Ext.Off”: Automatic mode is deactivated and the symbol
appears on the LC display
• “Alarm”: Automatic mode is deactivated and the symbol
appears on the LC display An alarm signal is also emitted.
