5.4.8. Connection of automatic mode remote activation and
deactivation (External OFF)
Remote switching of automatic mode can be realised via a poten-
tial-free contact. Using an additional switch (e.g. a float switch)
automatic mode can be switched on and off as a result. This
function overrides all other switching points and all pumps are
switched off. The terminals are fitted with a converter bridge in
the factory.
Insert the cable ends of the cable laid onsite through the threaded
cable connections and secure accordingly.
Remove the converter bridge and connect the wires to the termi-
nal strip according to the wiring diagram.
• Contact:
• Closed: Automatic on
• Open: Automatic mode off - signal via an icon on the
display
NOTE
No external voltage may be applied!
5.4.9. Connection of level actual value display
A 0 - 10 V signal is available for external measurement / display of
the level actual value via the corresponding terminals. With this
0 V is the level sensor value “0” and 10 V the level sensor final
value.
Example:
• Level sensor 2.5 m
• Display range: 0...2.5 m
• Setting: 1 V = 0.25 m
Insert the cable ends of the cable laid onsite through the threaded
cable connections and secure accordingly.
Connect the wires to the terminal strip according to the wiring
diagram.
NOTE
• No external voltage may be applied!
• To be able to use the function, the value " Sensor" has
to be set in menu 5.2.6.0.
5.4.10. Connection of collective run signal (SBM), collective
fault signal (SSM) or high-water alarm (HW)
Potential-free contacts for external signals are available via the
corresponding terminals.
Insert the cable ends of the cable laid onsite through the threaded
cable connections and secure accordingly.
Connect the wires to the terminal strip according to the wiring
diagram.

• Type: Changeover contact
• Switching capacity: 250 V, 1 A
DANGER due to electrical voltage
An external voltage is applied at the terminals for
this function. This is also present at the terminals
when the main switch is switched off! There is
a risk of fatal injury! The power supply must be
disconnected from its source before all work!
5.4.11. Connection for activating/deactivating an external
control
A potential-free contact is available via the corresponding termi-
nals for activating/deactivating an external control. An external
submersible mixer, for instance, can be switched on with this.
Insert the cable ends of the cable laid onsite through the threaded
cable connections and secure accordingly.
Connect the wires to the terminal strip according to the wiring
diagram.

Operation and function
This section contains all information on how the switchgear func-
tions as well as information on the menu structure.
POTENTIALLY fatal danger due to electrical voltage
There is a risk of fatal electric shocks occurring
when performing work on the open switchgear.
All work on individual components must be per
-
formed by a qualified electrician.
NOTE
Following a power supply interruption, the switch-
gear will automatically start up in the last operating
mode set!
6.1.
Operating modes and operation principle
The switchgear can distinguish between the following two oper-
ating modes:
• Empty
• Fill
NOTE
To change the operating mode, all pumps must be
deactivated. For this, set the value "OFF" in menu
3.1.0.0.
6.1.1. “Empty” operating mode
The reservoir or sump is drained. The connected pumps are acti-
vated when the level rises and switched off when the level falls.
This control is mainly used for
water drainage
.
6.1.2. “Fill” operating mode
The reservoir is filled up, for instance, to pump water out of a well
into a rainwater storage tank. The connected pumps are activated
when the level falls and switched off when the level rises. This
control is mainly used for
water supply
.
