4. PRODUCTS AND ACCESSORIES
The SANITSON PREMIUM lifting station is a system
with one or two pumps, which may be used in two
types of system :
- As an indoor system for the suction of valve water,
- As an outdoor pumping station with a buried tank.
4.1 Description
This station is fitted with a polyethylene tank with an accessible cover
and built-in tubing, in particular including a check valve, a stop
valve, a built-in pump, a level detection device and, depending on
the pump and system model, a control unit (
Table 2
). The pump is
located in the tank. The discharge duct may be separated for the fit-
ting and removing of the pump using a threaded coupling.
4.2 Supplies
4.2.1 ”Domestic” model
- The SANITSON PREMIUM; a station fitted with a tank and built-in
tubing, in particular including a check valve, a stop valve, a pump,
a level detection device and, depending on the pump and system
model, a control unit.
- 1 tank cover with gasket.
- 1 crown saw Ø 124 mm.
- 1 ND100 suction inlet seal (for Ø 110 mm pipe).
- 1 section of Ø 50 mm transparent hose with clamping collars to
connect the diaphragm hand pump.
- Installation and commissioning manual.
- Tank fastenings.
4.3 Accessories
Accessories must be ordered separately.
- Seal for ND100 inlet piping (for Ø 110 mm pipes with crown saw).
- Stop valve for the ND100 inlet piping.
- ND100 joint flange with hose and clamping flanges to connect
the stop valve inside the inlet pipe.
- 1”1/2 hand pump (without pipes).
- Overflow alarm unit (Alarmson).
- Float switch for alarm control.
- Clamping coupling to connect the station to the PE/PVC dischar-
ge duct :

2. SAFETY
The present manual contains vital instructions, which must be follo-
wed during installation and commissioning. This is why it must be
carefully read by the fitter and the user, before installation and com-
missioning. Not only the general instructions in this section, but also
the specific recommendations made in the paragraphs below, must
be observed.
2.1 Symbols accompanying the manual's instructions
Call attention to a potential risk that might affect the safety
of the persons.
Call attention to a potential electrical risk that might affect
the safety of the persons.
Indicates an instruction whgose non-observation
may lead to a damage of the material and its
running.
2.2 Qualification of staff
Make sure that the staff installing the pump are adequately qualified.
2.3 Dangers run if the instructions are not followed
Not obeying the safety instructions may endanger both staff and the
system. It may also invalidate the guarantee.
More specifically, the dangers run may be the following :
- Failure of some of the system's main functions.
- Danger for staff in the event of electrical or mechanical malfunc-
tions in the machine.
2.4 Safety instructions for the user
The instructions must be obeyed to exclude any risk of accidents.
Any electrical risks must also be eliminated.

2.5 Safety recommendations for inspection and installation works
The user must ensure that the works are performed by a qualified
specialist who has read the present manual.
The pump must only be worked on when it is switched off.
2.6 Modification of the machine and use of unapproved spare parts
The system may only be modified subject to Salmson's prior authori-
sation. Using original spare parts and accessories authorised by the
manufacturer guarantees safety.
Using other parts releases Salmson from any liability.
2.7 Unauthorised use
The safe operating of the system delivered may only be guaranteed
if the recommendations given in section 1 of the manual are follo-
wed. The values indicated in the data sheet should not be exceeded
under any circumstances.
The device has not been designed for continuous operation!
The maximum flow rate stated applies to intermittent opera-
tion (S3 - 15%). The maximally possible inlet quantity always must be
equal or smaller than the delivery of one pump in the respective ope-
rating point.
Using the lifting station outside the recommended conditions may
cause an excess load that the system is not designed to withstand.
Not obeying this warning may endanger staff and the machine.
3. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
The system is delivered on a pallet. The pallet must be transported
using appropriate lifting systems. Static stability must also be ensured.
The system must be protected against mechanical damage.
