APPLICATION
Thanks to its compact and water-resistant design, the portable Boom-Box is an ideal companion for swimming pools, excursions, holidays, garden
parties or work activities. Its built-in battery can be charged using a USB-C connecting cable. It enables both wired and wireless connection of
external devices such as mobile phones, computers and multimedia players. The appliance also has integrated FM radio and a USB player. Its built-in
microphone allows you to make phone calls without touching your phone.
The two built-in stereo speakers are located on one side of the cylinder, next to each other, while two passive subwoofers are installed at each end
of the cylinder. We recommend turning the pair of speakers on the side towards the audience. In this case, the part of the handle with the buttons will
face to the left.
You can build a wireless stereo sound system from two identical units creating a stunning sound experience.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
The battery must be charged before first use. Connect the supplied USB-C charging cable to the
DC5V
USB-C socket under the foldable rubber cover.
Connect the other end to a standard USB charger (not included) with a minimum charging current of 1.2-1.5A. If you use a charger or any USB socket on
e.g. a computer with lower capacity, the device may fail due to overloading. Recommended chargers: SA 2000UC, SA 24USB, SA 50USB, SA 4000USB.
Caution! USB sockets on computers and various devices have different charging parameters, and are usually unsuitable for charging this product. Check
the specifications of the charger or USB socket before connecting. Maximum values in general: USB2.0: 500 mA, USB3.0, 3.1: 900 mA, USB-C: 1.5A/3.0A
While in charging mode, 4 LEDs illuminate next to the buttons to indicate progress. When automatic charging completes, the 4 LEDs illuminate
continuously. Disconnect the charging cable then from the sound box and start using the appliance. When the battery is fully discharged, the charging
time is approximately 6.5 hours. The fully charged built-in battery offers about 30 hours of operation at medium volume. This also depends on the
volume set, the mode selected and the ambient temperature. This was tested by listening to the radio at room temperature with the LEDs switched off.
● Basically, it is not recommended to listen to the appliance while charging, especially at high volumes. This will increase charging time and may
cause additional noise and overheating. The radio reception quality may also deteriorate.
● Low battery may cause poor sound quality, disconnection of the BT link or changes in the volume. Low battery is also indicated by an audible signal
and the charge indicator LEDs. In this case, start re-charging the battery immediately.
● This product is designed to run from battery power, you are recommended to recharge it after use.
● To increase lifetime, keep the battery charged when the unit is out of use.
● The battery used is of lithium-ion type. It requires no maintenance. At the end of its service life, it can be replaced after removing the screws of
the carrying handle.
PUTTING INTO USE
Switch on the unit by pressing the button and holding it down (for 2sec). You can switch off the unit by briefly pressing this button. In case of
unpredictable or abnormal operation, you may need to delete all processor data and restore the factory settings. To do so, use a blunt (broken) toothpick
to gently press the RESET button hidden in the AUX slot, while the unit is switched on. When the unit turns off, switch it back on.
VOLUME CONTROL AND FUNCTION SWITCHING
The volume can be adjusted by briefly pressing the
buttons. When pressed longer (for more than 2 secs), they function as stepping buttons after
being released between e.g. various programs.
When you turn on the unit,
BT
mode is active. You can toggle between the signal sources by repeatedly pressing the button:
FM RADIO - BT - USB
- AUX
Available multimedia functions: wired (AUX) or wireless BT (BT) connection of external devices, USB player, FM radio. The available services may vary
depending on the signal source used. Function associated with non connected devices are not available. For example, this is the case with the MP3
player mode without a USB storage device attached.
WIRELESS BT CONNECTION
Within a maximum range of 10 meters, the unit can be paired with other equipment communicating according to the BT protocol. After pairing, you can
listen to music played on your mobile phone, tablet, notebook or other similar device. Use the button to select the
BT
function. The LED ring on
the on/off button flashes quickly when no BT device is connected. Place the device to be paired near the unit, and find nearby wireless BT devices,
including this sound box, as described in its operating manual. Connect the two devices. If connection is successful, the flashing LED ring will
illuminate continuously and short a beep sound will be heard. Then you can listen to the desired program via the speakers. The player application on
the playback device (e.g. a mobile phone) can usually be controlled remotely using the buttons
on the control panel. The following functions
can be controlled remotely: play, pause, going next and back between programs. The latter requires a long press of the button, as a short
press
controls the volume.
● For best sound quality, the volumes on the Boom-Box and the external playback device should be aligned.
● You can adjust the tone on the connected external device using its controls.
● One sound box can be paired with one BT device, such as a phone at a time.
