3.2  Installing and configuring your modem/router on your

computer's USB port

3.2.1 In 

Windows

The 

USB

 port of the SAGEM F@st™ 1200/1240 is a USB 1.1 port supporting a maximum bit

rate of 12 Mbit/s. The connector is type B.

On this port, you can connect directly to a computer with a type A USB port using a USB lead
(supplied with the equipment).

Do not connect the USB lead until prompted by the installation procedure (that is,
after installing the drivers).

The 

installation

 procedure described below was performed in

. Installation in other Windows

 operating systems (98,

ME and 2000) may present slight differences.
