If the machine is used with maximum fog output (maximum fog output/second) for more than 3
minutes, it may cool down below the minimum operating temperature and will automatically be
switched off (control lamp COLD will turn on).
After the automatically controlled reheating-period is over, the machine will indicate its readiness for
use again. (Indicator light READY will turn on, indicator HEATING will turn off.)
However, a non-stop fog production is possible -
CONTINUOUS FOG PRODUCTION
-, if the fog output is
regulated by the fog output throttle at about 65 - 70 % of the maximum quantity.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL TANK
The possibility to switch from the internal tank to an external one of any size allows a continuous use over
long periods by taking the fluid out of an external store tank (canister, bottle etc.) without frequent refillings.
CHANGE-OVER TO EXTERNAL TANK
1)
Screw off the tank cap of the machine, empty the tank and pull out the internal siphon hose which is in
the tank.
2)
Screw off the filter-element (preserve the union nut), push the hose line at the inside of the tank cap on
the screwing and fix it with union nut.
3)
Screw the tank cap with hose on the machine again, mount additional external hose-piece (standard-
accessory 1 mtr.) on the siphon screwing, which is on the outside of the tank cap, by using union nut.
4)
Fix filter-element with union nut at the other side of the hose and insert it in the external fluid tank until
touching the bottom.
Important:
The
siphon hose
must always have a
filter-element
at its
suction end
in order to avoid clog-
gings of the machine by polluted fluid.
It is recommendable to lead the siphon hose through a hole in the cap of the external tank, this cap
must
,
however, have a second, smaller hole (about 2 mm) in order to allow a pressure compensation.
(As standard-accessory, the machine is equipped with a prepared
screw cap
of
a 5-ltr.-SAFEX
®
-
NEBELFLUID-canister
, which can be excellently used as external tank.)
The siphon hose can be extended with a suitable hose. Distance vertically between tank and machine max.
2 mtr.
A
horizontal
extension for more than 10 mtr. is possible if the tank is installed only a little higher than the
machine.
FOG FLUID SUPPLY
The machine will work trouble-free only with
SAFEX
®
-INSIDE-NEBELFLUID „BLITZ“, „NORMAL“, „460“
and all other
DISCO-fog fluids
, which are available in various qualities. All fluids can be mixed and are
compatible with each other.
Avoid absolutely any impurities or mixing with other foreign substances, since this can cause seri-
ous damage to the machine and can also be dangerous.
(Do not use any fog fluids containing petroleum distillates, this is inadmissible and represents an inexpert
handling according to VDE/DIN-regulations.) See leaflet

FOG OUTPUT REGULATION
The fog output quantity can be continuously adjusted on the machine by means of the
fog output throttle
,
also while fogging.
A
long-distance fog output regulation
is possible by using special
remote-control systems
, e. g. the
SAFEX
®
-FOG-CONTROLER
.
Fogging over a longer period of time (more than 45 min.) with extremely small fog output can lead to
an overheating of the pump. A safety device will then automatically interrupt the fogging. This will al-
