Problem
Possible Causes
Remedy
Lift table is
slow to raise
or will not
raise to the
top.
1) Lift table oil level low.
If this is the case, the
motor sound will
change in pitch and
bubbles will be visible
in the suction hose as
the oil runs out.
Check oil as described in section 4.1
Determine cause of loss and rectify.
2) Lift table is overloaded
and pressure relief
valve is operating.
Refer to section 3.3. Remove load and try again. Do not
attempt to adjust pressure relief valve.
3) Suction filter is
blocked. If this is the
case, bubbles should
be visible in the suction
hose.
Remove the suction filter and clean or replace. The oil will
need to be replaced as described in section 4.1.
4) Oil tank filler plug
breather hole is
blocked or plug has
inadvertently been
replaced with a plug
with no breather hole.
Remove plug and clean blockage.
5) Down function may be
permanently
energised, either due
to the control being
pressed or an electrical
fault.
Attempting to raise the lift table with the down solenoid coil
removed from the down valve spindle can eliminate this
possible cause. If this is the problem, it is likely an electrical
fault exists. Contact your Safetech agent.
SmartLift diagnosis:
(1) Press the up control. The green "Up control made" and
orange "Power to motor" should illuminate.
(2) The orange "Power to down solenoid" should not be on
(unless the down control is pressed!). If on, the down
solenoid is permanently energised due to an electrical fault.
Contact your Safetech agent.
6) If none of the above, a
fault may exist with the
motor or pump.
Contact your Safetech agent.
Lift table will
not lower
1) Power not supplied to
the table.
Check supply, fuses, earth leakage and whether the lift table
is plugged in.
SmartLift diagnosis:
The orange "Power On" LED indicates that power is supplied
to the lift table.
2) Maintenance chock
may be applied.
Release maintenance chock as described in section 2.
3) Safety bar may be
tripped or damaged.
Check safety bar as described in section 4.9 The bar may be
set too high and be permanently holding the switch tripped.
SmartLift diagnosis:
The red "Safety bar tripped" LED is on when the safety bar is
tripped, regardless of whether or not an attempt is made to
operate the lift table.
