If not, the pump may quickly overheat and be damaged. The most likely cause is overloading of the
lift table. Remove the load, lower the lift table and attempt to raise. If the relief valve still operates,
a hydraulic fault is likely. If so, do not continue to operate the lift table and contact your Safetech
agent.
3.4
Duty Cycle
Your Safetech lift table is designed for intermittent use commensurate with manual loading and
unloading operations.
To prevent overheating of the motor, avoid "jogging" the motor to accurately position the platform.
For accurate positioning, it is preferable to raise the above required location and jog the down control.
Motor starting should not exceed 10 starts per hour for single phase motors and 20 starts per hour
for three phase motors. Exceeding these parameters may result in overheating of the motor.
Refer to Section 3.8 for high cycle applications.

Other Features
Numerous options can be incorporated into Safetech lift tables. Some of the more common ones
are as follows:
3.5.1
SmartLift
SmartLift is an electronic control board incorporated into the electrical system of the lift table. In
addition to low voltage controls, it provides the following features:
Diagnostic indication
A series of indicator lights (LEDs) indicate the status of every function of the lift table. These are
available for troubleshooting and fault diagnosis. The LEDs are:
a.
"Power on" (Orange)
This LED illuminates whenever power is connected to the lift table.
b.
"Power to motor" (Orange)
Illuminates whenever the motor contactor is energised.
c.
"Power to down solenoid" (Orange)
Illuminates whenever the down solenoid relay is energised.
d.
"Up control made" (Green)
Illuminates whenever the up control is switched and communicates an up signal to the
board. It will illuminate even if the up limit switch is tripped.
e.
"Down control made" (Green)
Illuminates whenever the down control is switched and communicates a down signal to
the board. It will illuminate even if the safety bar is tripped.
f.
"Up limit tripped" (Red)
Illuminates whenever the up limit is switched. It illuminates whether or not the up control
has been operated.
g.
"Safety bar tripped" (Red)
