Make any technical modifi cations to the machine.

Immerse the machine in any kind of liquid.

Wash the machine using a jet of water.

Use the machine in any manner other than as described in
this manual.

Install the machine on top of other appliances.

Use the machine in explosive or harsh environments, or
with high concentrations of dust or oily substances sus-
pended in the air.

Use the machine in an environment in which a risk of fi re
exists.

Use the machine to dispense products other than those it
is designed for.
• Before cleaning the machine, ensure the plug is disconnected
from the power socket; do not wash it with fuel and/or sol-
vents of any kind.
• Do not place the machine near heating equipment (such as
heaters or radiators).
• In case of fi re, use carbon dioxide (CO
2
) extinguishers. Do not
use water or dry powder extinguishers.

The machine can be stopped by means of the power button.

Water hardness test:
quick test to
determine the actual hardness of the
water used to prepare beverages; this
test is of fundamental importance to
set the water hardness in the machine.
Cleaning brush:

move the coff ee grounds
from the service compart-
ment.
Lubricating oil:
to lubricate the
Brew Group at periodic intervals (see
section 10.5).
Descaling solution:
to remove limescale
build-up in the water circuit caused by normal
use.
"I" water fi lter:
to remove any
unpleasant fl avours in the water and re-
duce water hardness. This will improve
machine use.
