11. Remove the battery bracket and covers.
12. Remove the battery cables, disconnecting
the negative (black) terminal, then the
positive (red) terminal.
NOTE:
When disconnecting the rear
battery cables, take note of the position
of the battery thermistor terminal on the
positive post. Make sure to reinstall the
thermistor in the same location.
WARNING:
Make sure not to
short circuit the positive and negative
terminals.
13. Replace the batteries.
WARNING:
Always follow the safety
warnings provided with the battery.
Dispose of old battery according to local
and state regulations.
14. Connect the battery cables, connecting
the positive (red) terminal, then the
negative (black) terminal.
Secure the cable terminals with flat
washers, lock washers and bolts. Cover
the terminal connection with the terminal
cap.
WARNING:
Make sure not to
short circuit the positive and negative
terminals.
15. Reinstall the battery covers and bracket.
