MAINTENANCE

CHECKING THE BELT DRIVE

►

REPLACE V-RIB BELT

1. Tension pulley
. Retaining pin
. Assembly bore

Press tensioning roller with

socket wrench in the direction

of the arrow until a retaining pin

can be fixed in the assembly

bore. The V-ribbed belt is now

tension free.
First pull the V-ribbed belt off the

smallest roller or off the tension-

ing roller.

14. OTHER MAINTENANCE

Check the whole belt drive visu-

ally for damage.
Renew damaged parts.
Remount protective devices if

necessary.

pay attention to correct fit of new

belts, check the tension after

running for 15 minutes.

Only carry out work on the

belt drive with the engine at a

standstill !
After repair work: Check that

all guards have been re-

placed and that all tools have

been removed from the en-

gine.
