1. CHECKS AND SERVICE
GENERAL INFORMATION
This section gives full details of the
service procedures necessary to
maintain your tractor at peak ef-
ficiency while the lubrication and
maintenance chart provides a ready
reference to these requirements.
PRE-START CHECKS
To avoid problems it is recommend-
ed that a range of checks be carried
out daily before starting the tractor.
For full details of the items and fre-
quency please refer to the tables on
page 5-7, 5-8, 5-9 and 5-10.

CHECKING ENGINE COOLANT
INSPECTION
Check that the coolant level in the
reservoir is between the MAX. and
MIN. levels. if insufficient, add cool
-
ant to the reservoir.

If the coolant is a rusty color, drain
the system completely and refill with
the correct mixture of water and an-
ti-freeze or corrosion inhibitor.
WARNING
Do not open the cap when the
engine is hot. Otherwise, hot
steam can burn you serious-
ly. Wait until the engine is suf-
ficiently cooled down.
