The Import Reading Files is a feature that allows data collected from another device from the
DigitalInclinometer app to be imported and added to the Android app. This feature allows
borehole reading data to be shared amongst the different app platforms (Android, Field PC
and Inclinalysis).
The Digital Inclinometer app supports two mechanism to export reading files:
•
Import Files from Android Internal Storage
•
Import Zip file

Importing reading files from Android storage retrieves the reading files from a specific folder
in the Android device. This folder can be accessed via PC by using a USB file transfer cable
and selecting the Android System USB mode to be used for File Transfer. See Appendix B-3
for detailed instructions on setting the Android for file transfer to a PC.
The reading files for import are always stored in the folder:
Internal shared storage\Android\data\com.rstinstruments\files\import\DigitalInclinometer
The DigitalInclinometer folder contains subfolders for the imported site(s). The data from the
import folder are imported to the Digital Inclinometer app when the app is launched. The
Digital Inclinometer app deletes content of the import folder after importing the content.
