The export feature is available by tapping the Measure icon at the bottom left corner of the
bottom status bar followed by tapping the Import/Export selection. The export feature permits
the user to select the desired site(s) and borehole(s) to export. Figure 25 shows a sample
export screen.

The Digital Inclinometer app supports two mechanisms to export reading files:

Export Files to the Android Internal Storage, and
•
Export Files to Email Recipient(s).

Exporting reading files to the Android
device’s internal storage stores the selected site(s)
and/or selected borehole(s) on the Android device. This folder can be accessed via PC by
using a USB file transfer cable and selecting the Android System USB mode to be used for
File Transfer. See Appendix B-3 for detailed instructions on setting the Android for file
transfer to a PC.
The exported reading files are always stored in the folder:
Internal shared storage\Android\data\com.rstinstruments\files\export\DigitalInclinometer
The DigitalInclinometer folder contains subfolders for the exported site(s). From each
exported site(s), the borehole reading files are available to be transferred from the Android
device to a PC for analysis.

ECIPIENTS
The Digital Inclinometer app may export reading files to one or more email recipients. The
Android device should be equipped with internet access either from a cellular data service or
Wi-Fi. The Android device must be pre-configured with a valid Email account on the email
app such as Google Gmail.
If all services are available, the app compresses the selected site and borehole files into a
zip package named DigitalInclinometer.zip. The Digital Inclinometer app automatically
launches the built-in email service on the Android device. If more than one email service is
available on the Android device, the user may choose the desired email service.
