TAKING MEASUREMENTS
USING THE MACHINE
OPERATION
- Turn the selector dial out of the OFF
position to turn the device ON.
- Turn the selector dial in the OFF position
to turn the device OFF.
Note: The device turns itself off
automatically after approx. 15 seconds
of inactivity.
- Remove the protective caps from the prongs.
- Turn the selector dial to the required function. µA / mA, V or OHM.
- Push the MODE button to select AC, DC, resistance, continuity check or testing diodes.
The machine is equipped with an auto-range function.
AC voltage measurements:
Voltage is the difference in electrical potential measured between two points. Voltage
measurements are performed parallel to the circuit.
- Use the mode selector dial to select the voltage measurement mode V . Push the
MODE button to select AC. Pick up the probes by the insulated handles and place the
contacts onto the circuit.
- The measured result appears on the display. The polarity indicator is inactive when
measuring AC due to the constantly changing polarity.
