To transmit a preset:

Patch Mob of Emus’
Mix
Output to the
input of your WAV recorder.

Start recording on your WAV recorder.
(Again, your recording device must record
uncompressed WAV data. Do
not
use an
MP3 recorder.)
4.
Click (for Presets 1-6) or double-click (for
Presets 7-12) the appropriate button to
immediately send the data for that Preset
to your WAV recorder.

Once the data has been sent, Mob of
Emus returns to “chase” mode to give you
the opportunity to save (or load) additional
Presets.

Hex
button to
rerun to normal operation.
To load a preset from a WAV file:

Patch the output of your WAV player to
the
FREQ/6
CV Input.

Click and hold for three seconds (for
Presets 1-6) or double-click and hold
for three seconds (for Presets 7-12)
the appropriate button to choose the
destination for the restored Preset.
Channel Selector
LEDs 1 & 2 will light and
the
Preset 6
LED and the Hex LED will
flash. (If you need to change your mind at
this point, press the
Hex
button to return
to normal operation.)

Click the
Preset 6
button.
5.
Play the audio.

The
Channel Selector
LEDs will act as a
progress indicator. The six LEDs will light in
sequence as the data is loaded.
7.
If the transfer is successful, Mob of
Emus will return to the Transfer Menu
for additional actions. When finished,
press the
Hex
button to rerun to normal
operation.

If the transfer wasn’t successful, an error
code will be displayed in the
Channel
Selector
LEDs. Press
Hex
to return to
normal operation. If you continue to

Utilities Accessed via the
Channel Selector Buttons
These functions are intended for calibration
and test during the manufacturing process,
and as such, it’s highly unlikely you’ll ever
need to interact with them. But here they
arefor reference.
Channel 3: Enable Buchla Mode.
Press the
Channel 3 button to toggle Buchla Modeon
and off.
With Buchla mode enabled, all inputs
and outputs conform to a 1.2V/octave
specification. With Buchla mode disabled, all
inputs and outputs conform to a 1V/octave
specification.
While holding the
Channel 3
button, the
current state is displayed as follows:
Normal Mode:
Preset 1
LED lit and no
Channel Selector
LEDs lit (i.e., 1.0 V/Oct)
Buchla Mode:
Preset 1
LED lit and
Channel
Selector
2 LED lit (i.e., 1.2 V/Oct)
Channel 2:
Calibrate ADCs
Channel 1:
Calibrate DACs
These functions are used during initial
module calibration and, barring any
unforeseenproblems, you should never have
to interact with them. Unless you like living
dangerously (or we have instructed you to
do something here as part of diagnosing a
problem), you would be best advised not to
fool around with these. Seriously.
