6.0 Personal Video Recorder (PVR):
The Ross HD+ Satellite Recorder has a number of features to allow versatility in when you
watch TV.
It has a Time Shift Record function so that you can pause and catch up with live TV.
It has a massive 320Gb Hard Drive so that you can record many hours of your favourite TV.
You can make Instant video recordings of live TV while you watch another channel.
You can set the Recorder to make timed Video recordings of TV when you are out.
These are explained below.
6.1 Time-Shift Recording (TSR)
The Time-shift function enables you to pause and then watch live TV to fit in with your time
schedule. You can then watch or stop the programme at your leisure, rewind or fast forward
to catch up with live TV using the buttons on the remote.
Record
To operate time-shift whilst watching the programme, press the Time-shift button on the
remote control.
The time-shift information bar will appear at the bottom of the screen and the TV picture will
be paused. The information bar displays the increasing time of live TV being recorded and
the total recording time available.
Playback
When you wish to commence watching the TV programme being recorded press the Play
button on the Remote control. The play bar appears which shows the time gap between
the broadcasting point and watching point and the amount of temporarily saved
programme.
FF/FB/Pause
If you wish to catch up with live TV or skip the commercial breaks, simply press the FF
button on the remote control. You can also rewind and watch again whilst live TV is still
recording.
Press Exit to get out of Timeshift mode.
N.B. All of your Time-shift recordings are saved to the SATA hard disk drive unless
you set the ‘Remove Timeshift File’ to ‘Yes’ in the OSD Control menu.
