11. Using the thermometer
The sensor remains in the meat throughout the
cooking process.
When closing the oven door or barbecue lid,
make sure that you do not inadvertently pinch
the lead, e.g. in the hinges.
• Choose a position for the thermometer dis-
play unit in the immediate vicinity of the oven/
barbecue (lead length is 1 metre). The meat
thermometer display unit is fitted with magnets
on the back so that it can be placed on the oven
door if the door is made of ferrous metal.
Place the thermometer display unit on the outer
surround of the oven door and make sure that
the surface of the door does not get hotter
than 50°C. Once the core temperature of the
meat reaches the specified temperature, the
alarm sounds. To cancel the alarm, press the
"Stop" button.
11.1. Default settings and sounds
On this menu you can enter your personalised set-
tings for meat type, temperature for Thermometer
mode, Timer mode and alarm sound.
