12. Brake system / Brake fluid and tires

The brake lever free play should be adjusted to the values mentioned
on page 22 if there is any discrepance. This adjustment must only
be done by an authorized service partner.
Brake fluid
Brake fluid has been filled to optimum level before the motorcycle leaves
the factory. User should fill or change the qualified brake oil (such as DOT4)
from the appointed maintenance station. Never change or mix other oil,
otherwise it would damage the brake system.
WARNING!
A leaky brake system leads to malfunction of the brakes.
It is absolutely important, to keep the maintenance schedule
as mentioned in the maintenance plan in this manual.
Brake fluid may deteriorate painted surfaces and plastic parts.
Always clean up the spilled fluid immediately.
In case your body comes in contact with brake fluid please
contact a doctor.
TIRES
Tire size:
Please refer to chapter “technical details”.
Warning!
The tire condition is extremely important for the performance and
the safety of the motorcycle!
Therefore always pay attention to 100% proper tire conditions!
Insufficient tire pressure hastens wear of them and affects the riding stability.
Please check the tire pressure and tread depth when applying regular
maintenance.
The tread depth should be at least 1.6mm on front & rear tire.
In case of doubt please exchange the tires.
