11. Oil replacement / Oil level check

Oil replacement
We recommend to order the oil replacement in a suitable service
station. Oil should only be replaced with the engine warmed up
according to the following steps:
1) Remove the oil dipstick
2) Place an oil pan under the engine
3) Remove the oil drain plug to drain the used oil
4) Re-install the oil drain plug und fill in the new oil
5) Check the engine and the correct filling quantity with the dipstick
Oil level check
With the dipstick (see photos) you may check the correct
filling level of engine oil. Place the motorcycle on the center stand on
even ground and warm up the engine for several minutes.
Stop the engine and wait a few minutes until the oil levels before removing
the dipstick. The oil level should be between the min. and the max.
marking on the dipstick. If the level is low, top up oil to the specified level.
