ADJUSTING UNEVEN GANG PENETRATION
In certain soil conditions, less penetration on left
front and/or right rear gang carriers may occur. The
following adjustments can be made to equalize disc
blade penetration:
1. Move drawbar to left to reduce force against front
gang disc blades.
2. Reducing front angle will decrease amount of soil
thrown by front gang, equalizing amount of soil
being moved by rear gangs.
3. Too much angle will cause the gang to bulldoze
and the soil will not flow through the disc blades.
4. Letting transport wheels roll without gauging disc
depth will stabilize front and rear gang penetration.
5. The ideal situation is for the front and rear gangs
to have close to equal amounts of angle so they
both plow to the same depth.
