OPERATING MACHINE
PREPARING TO OPERATE IN FIELD
1. Remove the cylinder transport lock from cylinder and store in field position. Follow safe procedures in
the ATTACHING & DETACHING section.
CAUTION: Keep all persons away from the disc when raising or lowering the disc.
2. Use tractor SCV lever to raise and lower disc several times.
SET DEPTH OF PENETRATION CONTROL
Precise depth control is possible using wheels on transport assembly to act as depth gauges. Select a level
area and lower the disc gangs to the ground. Determine the inches of penetration desired and raise wheels to
a height equal to that requirement. Check measurement. From the hydraulic rod stop assortment, select the
proper combination of stops, that when attached around the rod, will limit rod travel so it bottoms out at that
point. After installation of the rod stops, when cylinder is fully retracted, the wheels will raise to the
predetermined height, assuring desired disc blade penetration.
