Chapter 3 Maintenance
When Moving the Unit
Procedures from Preparing to Move Through Reinstalling
To move the machine, you must completely drain all ink inside the machine and secure the print heads in
place with packing materials to protect them. Attempting to move the machine without first doing this may
result in damage to internal components due to leaking ink or damage to the heads.
Work differs depending on ink type in use. Refer to a Table shown below.

Important
Make sure to use a cleaning cartridge corresponding to ink type. Use of wrong cartridge may cause a machine
malfunction.
Procedure
Open the Utility window.
P.8, "How to Open the Utility Window / Exit the Utility"
In the [Option] tab, click [Pump ink] or [Head
Wash].
Select a proper work referring to the Table above.
Carry forward the work by following the instructions
displayed on the screen. Do not switch off power during
operation until the work is completed.
