5.3 Mounting Basic Stop and Protective Sleeve

Damage due to chips entering.
Fast closing and malfunction of the collet chuck CAPTIS-M.
 Never operate the collet chuck CAPTIS-M without an
insert.

1. Undo the three threaded pins (1).
2. Remove the inserted insert from the front.
3. Insert the new insert.
4. Tighten the three threaded pins (1). For tightening torque, see
Chapter 3.2 Technical Specifications, page 62.

