A different grease to the
prescribed grease F80 is
used. Dismantle, clean and
re-grease collet chuck

Component broken. Replace component.
Release stroke
insufficient, collet
chuck CAPTIS-M
does not open Dirt in the area of the collet
chuck. Remove collet chuck,
completely unclamp
collet chuck CAPTIS-M
and clean coupling area.
Insufficient
clamping force Workpiece is undersize. Insert suitable collet
chuck for the workpiece.
Dimensional
deviations on the
workpiece Dirty clamping cone. Remove collet chuck
and clean clamping
cone.
Eccentric dimen-
sional deviations
on the workpiece Concentricity fault of the
clamping unit. Check concentricity on
the clamping cone and
correct if necessary.
Irregular shape
on workpiece Elastic deformation of start-
ing material with defects of
form; after machining, the
workpiece returns to its
original form. Use starting material
with as few defects of
form as possible. Use
collet chuck with some
sharp teeth in the
clamping surface.
