Connecting to IEC 625/IEEE 488 (GPIB)
To connect to the IEC 625/IEEE 488 interface
You can use the GPIB bus interface for controlling the instrument remotely. The "IEC
625/IEEE 488" connector is at the

1. Connect the "IEC 625/IEEE 488" socket to the controller PC with a double-shielded
GPIB bus interface cable.
2. Configure the settings for remote control over GPIB.
The controller must address the instrument with the GPIB bus address.

tocols > GPIB Interface (IEC/IEEE Bus Interface" and "Hardware Interfaces" in the
operating manual.

Connecting USB Devices
You can connect or disconnect USB devices, e.g., memory stick, a CD-ROM keyboard,
etc, with the R&S
SMB during operation.
To connect a USB device to the interface of the R&S
