5.1 Safety instructions
RK Rose+Krieger GmbH has built the controllers and hand switches to the state of the art and
existing safety regulations. Nonetheless, controllers and hand switches may pose risks to persons
and property if these are used incorrectly or not for the intended purpose or if the safety instruc-
tions are not obeyed. Expert operation and careful maintenance will guarantee high per-
formance and availability of this controller.
We accordingly recommend that you pay particular attention to these sections.
This includes
•
understanding the safety instructions in the text and
•
becoming familiar with the configuration of the various operating options and how these
work.
Only persons nominated for this task may operate controllers and hand switches. Work on and
with the controller may only take place in accordance with these instructions.
General, national and operating safety regulations are to be obeyed.
Responsibilities for the use of this controller must be regulated unambiguously and obeyed, in
order that there cannot be any ill-defined authorities in relation to safety aspects.
Before any commissioning, the user must be sure that no persons or objects are in the controller's
danger area. The user should only operate the controller in perfect condition. Any change is to be
reported to the nearest line manager immediately and the operation is to be shut down.
