The push-buttons for controlling the travel of the motorised cube clamping
are located on the right-hand side of the machining area together with the
push-button for the pneumatic cube clamping. One push-button activates the
travel of the thrust bearing (depth setting) towards (+Z) and one away from
the operator (-Z). The push-buttons are illuminated and marked with picto-
grams.
4.1.6 Push-buttons for pneumatic clamping cushions of the cube
clamping
Fig. 19:
Pneumatic cube clamping
The push-buttons for actuating the pneumatic cube clamping are located on
the right-hand machine side (Fig. 18), together with the actuator of the mo-
torised depth adjustment. The lower push-button clamps or unclamps the
clamping cushions located above, at the side and behind the cube. The
push-buttons are illuminated and marked with pictograms.
4.1.7 Quick-release fasteners for latching and unlatching the door for
the cube machining
A manual quick-release fastener for fastening the machine door is located at
the top and bottom of the machine door. This makes it possible to machine
large panels with closed machine door or, as necessary, to machine cubes
with opened door. To open the machine door, release both quick-release
fasteners and swivel the door into the machine.
Hold the door when opening so that it closes smoothly against the counter-
support.
4.1.8 Push-button for the manual unlatching of the tool holder on the
cross-slide
A push-button on the support allows the tool clamping mechanism to be
opened in manual operation. The tool must be held simultaneously with one
hand when opening the tool holder, because otherwise this falls when actu-
ating the push-button due to the incline.
4.2 Description of operation
The tasks for operating the machine are outlined below. You receive a de-
tailed briefing during the commissioning.
4.2.1 Starting the machine
Connect the machine to the local power and compressed air supplies.
Open the shut-off valve on the maintenance unit.
Close the cover and check the protective devices.
Check the Emergency Stop switches. They must be released.
