The fax could not be sent.
• TX Comm. Error
A transmission error
occurred, and the fax
could not be transmitted
correctly.
• RX Comm. Error
A reception error
occurred, and the fax
could not be received
correctly.
• Connection Failed
• Check that the telephone line is
properly connected to the
machine.
• Disconnect the telephone line
from the machine, and connect
a standard telephone in its
place. Check that you can make
calls using the telephone. If you
cannot make calls this way,
contact your telephone
company.
• Dial Failed
• Confirm that the fax number you
dialed is correct.
• Confirm that the destination is a
fax machine.
• Confirm that the line is not busy.
• You may need to insert a pause
between dial digits. Press the
[
] key after,
for example, the area code.
• TX Comm. Error
• If the [Auto Redial] setting is
enabled, the machine will redial
the number and try again. If all
attempts fail, or if the machine is
in Immediate Transmission
mode, the fax will not be
transmitted. Try the operation
again.
• RX Comm. Error
• If possible, contact the sender of
the fax and ask them to resend
it.
