IV. GETTING STARTED
Before any intervention on product, ensure that product is disconnected form its
power source.
4.1- Unpacking
Remove product from its packaging.
Check that tool and accessories are not damage
4.2- Inserting and removing a bit
Open chuck either electrically or manually.
Insert the selected drill/driver bit into the chuck (1).
Make sure that it is correctly inserted and centered.
Rotate the chuck outer ring until the drill/driver is gripped.
Using even torque tighten the chuck, either electrically or manually.
4.3- Auxiliary handle assembly
(10)
To fit the side handle (10), unscrew the handle fully and remove the bolt from the clamping ring.
Pull open the clamping ring until it will pass over the chuck and locate on to the body of the drill.
Re-fit the bolt firmly and adjust the side handle as desired (either on the right or on the left).
4.4- Depth gauge assembly
(2)
The drill is supplied with a depth stop (2) used for drilling holes to required depth.
Insert the depth stop (2) on the side of the auxiliary handle (10).
Measure back from the drill tip and move the depth stop back to the required measured depth.
The end of the depth stop will come into contact with the work surface when the required depth of
hole is reached.
4.5- Changing direction of rotation
(4)
Set the direction of rotation lever (4) to the left to screw forward
Set the direction of rotation lever (4) to the right to reverse screw.
Note
: the direction of rotation lever is locked when the On/Off trigger switch is activated.
Do not change the direction of rotation when the drill is running, wait till machine has come to a
complete stop.
4.6- Normal drill and hammer position
Put the selector switch (3) on top of the drill housing to Drill
or Hammer
d
rill symbol
according to your required work.
4.7- Variable speed control
(5)
Light pressure on the ON/OFF trigger switch (6) results in low speed, allowing drilling to begin in a
smooth, controlled manner. Further pressure on the switch results in an increase in speed.
The desired speed can be pre-selected with the thumb wheel (5) or also possible during operation.
The rotational speed to be used depends upon the material being drilled.
4.8- Switching on and off
(6)
To start the machine squeeze the ON / OFF trigger switch (6).
This machine is fitted with a locking button (7) allowing a “continuous running”.
Start the machine then press on the locking button (7) for “continuous running” located on the side of
the handle (8), release the ON / OFF trigger.
The machine will now run continuously without the need to maintain pressure on the ON / OFF
trigger switch.
To stop the machine squeeze then release the ON / OFF trigger switch.
