Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB/DAB+)
RetroSound Motor 1DAB, Motor 2DAB, and Motor 6 Radio Motors have a
built-in DAB+ tuner that is compatible with both DAB and DAB+ digital ra-
dio broadcasts. The digital broadcast signal resists multipath interference
offering CD-quality audio with more fidelity and reduced noise compared
to analog signals.
DAB+ is a high quality digital radio standard that is
NOT available in the
United States
. DAB+ has been widely adopted across Australia, Europe,
South Africa, Arab States, and is expanding into Asia-Pacific.

DAB/DAB+ Input
The DAB+ input is the brass connection located at the rear of the radio
body. A special antenna is required to listen to DAB and DAB+ digital
audio broadcasts.
RetroSound DAB1 Antenna Adapter
This adapter turns a standard AM/FM antenna into an antenna that will
receive both AM/FM stations and Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB/DAB+)
stations. It has a DAB antenna output that plugs into the DAB input on
the radio, as well as a standard antenna output for AM/FM stations. The
DAB1 adapter can be used with all RetroSound DAB series radios or any
after-market radio that has a DAB/DAB+ tuner.
