Configuring as repeater

•  Click on “Repeater” in the setup wizard.
•  The AP will automatically search for available Wi-Fi networks. The list will be displayed as

soon as the search is complete.

•  First select the mode.

Gateway

”: This option serves to set up a separate network similar to the router. The AP

retains its fixed IP address “

192.168.10.1

” after configuration. The DHCP server remains

active. The devices connected to the repeater receive their IP address from the repeater. For

further configurations, log in to the web interface.

Bridge

”: The repeater and all devices connected to the repeater receive an IP address from

the Wi-Fi router. This option enables easier access to the repeater after configuration. The

repeater‘s IP address can be found in the network device list of your Wi-Fi router.

We recommend that you use this mode.

•  Click on the Wi-Fi network you want to connect the repeater to in order to expand or strength-

en the Wi-Fi network.

You can simply scroll down a longer list.

•  Enter the password to access the selected Wi-Fi network.
•  The repeater also enables to adjust the names of the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The original

Wi-Fi is extended with “

_EXT

” by default. Generally, you can use the original Wi-Fi names.

The new Wi-Fi network uses the same password as the original one.

•  Click on the blue button to save and connect. The AP will restart with the new settings. The

process can take up to 2 minutes.

Reconnect your device to the AP‘s Wi-Fi network and enter the password of your

Wi-Fi router.

c)

Configuring as router

•  Insert one end of the network cable into the “

LAN DATA IN

” RJ45 connection on the PoE

adapter and the other end into the RJ45 connection of your modem.

•  Click on “Router” in the setup wizard.
•  First select the connection type.

For a DSL-modem with a dial-up, click on the “

PPPoE

” above and then enter your dial-up

name and password.

If Internet access requires a fixed IP address, select the middle menu item and enter all

required IP address data.
If Internet access requires a dynamic IP address, select the right menu item (default). No

further entries are required.

•  Finally, choose a name for the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
•

Then select the encryption “WPA2-PSK” and enter a Wi-Fi password in the field below.

The password must be at least 8 characters long. We recommend that you use a

password with more characters, consisting of numbers and upper and lower case

letters.

The Wi-Fi connection should not be left unencrypted (open).

•  Click on the blue button to save the setting. The AP will restart. The process can take up to

2 minutes.

•

Reconnect your device to the AP‘s Wi-Fi network and enter the previously set password.

•  Once connected, click on the blue button to refresh the display.
•

For further configurations, log in to the web interface.

In addition to time zone and login password, you can change WAN port settings, save and

restore configuration, update firmware, display an extended device status, log out of the web
