Wash your vehicle frequently,
preferably using our recommended
cleaning products and use a
high-pressure jet to rinse off the
underside of the vehicle and the
wheel arches in particular to get
rid of:
- Spots of tree resin and industrial
grime.

Bird droppings
which contain
chemicals
which
rapidly
discolour paintwork and may
even cause the paint to peel off

The vehicle
must be
washed
immediately to remove these
marks since it is impossible to
remove them by polishing.
- Salt deposited in the wheel
arches and underneath the body
after driving in areas where the
roads are chemically treated.
- Mud in the wheel arches and
under the body which forms
damp patches.
• Keep well away from the vehicle
in front when driving on freshly
laid surfaces to prevent paint
damage.
• Repair, or have repaired quickly
patches where the paint has been
damaged to prevent corrosion

• Remember to visit the body shop
periodically if your vehicle is
protected
by
the
Renault
anti-corrosion warranty. Consult
the anti-corrosion booklet.
• Respect local regulations about
washing vehicles (e.g. do not

etc. and fix the windscreen wiper
arms with adhesive tape before

• Protect mechanical components,
if they have to be cleaned, by
reapplying

approved by Renault's Technical
Department.
