Sychronizing automatic mixer and microphones
Set up the input channels and transfer the information to the microphones.
Leave the microphone switched off and call the first channel menu ( page 38) with the button CH1 .
Select
AFS
and perform an automatic channel scan to set the input channel to an interference­free
transmission channel.
Switch on the microphone and point its infrared interface towards the mixer’s infrared interface
(max. 15 cm distance). Make sure there are no obstacles between the interfaces.
Select menu item Sync to transfer the channel information to the microphone. The indication
>>>>>>
will pulsate during IR transmission.
When the devices have been set to the same transmission channel, the RF bar in the display will
show the strength of the radio signal received.
Speak into the microphone and adjust the gain at the mixer. You should now hear the audio signal
through the following unit.
The volume level of the microphone is indicated by the AF bar in the display. It is adjustable via the
gain setting in the Volume option. With models UD­1 and UH­1 , you can also directly adjust the
gain at the device.
The first input channel is now set up and you can exit the channel menu. Adjust the other input
channels in the same way. Always leave the microphones that have been set up switched on
before performing an automatic channel scan, so that the channels already being used will be
skipped during the scan.
