Mounting the coupling

37

Mounting the protection device

The owner must equip the coupling with a protection device prior to commissioning.
The coupling must be operated exclusively with the protection device mounted.

The protection device must satisfy the following minimum requirements and ensure:

Protection against contact with rotating parts

Protection against parts flying around after any rupture of the coupling

Adequate ventilation of the coupling, for example through integrated cooling slots.
