Aligning the coupling
CAUTION!
Increased rate of wear to the flexible elements due to
inadequate alignment of the drive unit and the driven
machine.
When aligning the drive unit and the driven machine, adhere
to the values specified for the angular-, radial and axial
displacement.
A larger shaft displacement, for example when switching a drive unit on and
off, is permissible for a short time. The maximum permissible angular, radial
and axial displacements must not occur all at the same time.
Guide values for the shaft displacement
The maximum permissible displacement values listed in the table below are guide
values as the compensating capability of the coupling primarily depends on the
rotational speed and the coupling load. Precise alignment of the coupling has a
positive effect on the service life of the flexible elements.
