To put fan assembly back into place, slip it
over the two mounting studs. Take care not to
damage the insulation on the fan base.
Ensure
that the fan blades do not rub against the
valve tubing.
See Diagram 1.
Hint : Use a small amount of dish soap on the
pins as this will make it easier to slide fan back
into place.
6.
Connect fan ground cable to ground lug and 2
wires removed from step 3. Ensure that there is
no interference with the wires when the louver
is closed and that no wire will touch the hot
metal surfaces or sharp edges.
7.
Plug the fan power cord into the AUX module
receptacle to provide the maximum clearance
from the louvers. Ensure all wires are neatly
tucked away and away from the firebox base.

Fan Maintenance
To remove fan, follow steps below.
120 Volt AC power is needed for the fan. The fan
can be hard wired if desired. The outlet should
be installed in the receptacle box on the left hand
side by a qualified electrician. The neutral (wider)
slot of the polarized outlet should be at the top.
Unit must be grounded at all times. Do
not cut the ground terminal off under any
circumstances.
To Install the Fan
1.
Remove the bottom louver door.
2.
Shut the power off by disconnecting 120 volt
power cord at AUX module.
3.
Disconnect 2 wires at fan motor and ground
wire at ground lug.
4.
Slide the fan in towards the front of the unit
to remove from fireplace.
IMPORTANT:
These fans collect a lot of dust from
within your home. Ensure you maintain
these fan motors on a regular basis
by vacuuming the fan blades and the
housing with a soft brush nozzle.

Shut off electrical and gas supply.
2.
Remove arch surround and double doors (if
installed).
3.
Remove glass door (refer to the glass door
installation section).
4.
With the gas shut off, disconnect gas connection
at gas valve.
5.
Remove the logs, media from the burner and
remove brick panels (if installed).
6.
Remove the burner grate assembly by removing
the two (2) Phillips head screws (Diagram 2) and
then remove the base brick panel surrounding
the burner (Diagram 3), then slide the burner
assembly to the left and out.

7.
Remove the heat shield on the IFC board by
removing two (2) Phillips head screws, then
slide the top of the heat shield out and away.
This will expose the IFC board.
8.
Remove the spark electrode wire and flame
sensor wire from the IFC and the 10-pin valve
wiring connector.

9.
With the wires removed from the IFC board and
the valve, remove the rear log tray by removing
two (2) Phillips head screws.

10.
Remove the twelve (12) Phillips head screws
from the valve tray, and then remove the valve
tray by lifting up and out. Replace with new
valve assembly and reverse steps. If replacing
valve only, see following steps.
