7. Controls of the remote control
1 Telescopic aerial
If needed, the telescopic aerial can be screwed off for transport.
2 On/off switch
This slide switch turns the remote control on (switch position
"I") or off (switch position "0"). Never turn off the remote control
while the vehicle is in operation!
3 Power LED; it is lit when the remote control is switched on, it
flashes when the battery/rechargeable battery voltage is low
4 "ST.REV" slide switch for reverse (steering)
If the steering response is exactly opposite to the movement
of the control wheel (9), you can reverse the movement using
the slide switch.
5 "TH.REV" slide switch for reverse (drive)
This reverses the response of the drive (forward/reverse) to
the lever (10).
6 "ST.TRIM" trim control for steering
This trim control sets the directional stability of the vehicle.
With the vehicle standing, put the front wheels in a straight
position. A more precise setting of directional stability is carried
out later when driving the vehicle.
7 "TH.TRIM" trim control for neutral position of drive
To make sure the vehicle stops when the throttle (10) is
released, neutral position can be set exactly using this trim
control.
8 Replaceable crystal
The remote control and the receiver in the vehicle must be equipped with a crystal of the same frequency. Transmitter
crystals for the remote control are generally labelled "T" or "TX", receiver crystals "R" or "RX". Do not mix up the
two crystals!
9 Control wheel for steering
10 Throttle for forward/reverse drive
This throttle controls the drive and the brake function of the vehicle. See chapter 9. j) further down in these
operating instructions.
11 Battery compartment
Insert 8 AA batteries or 8 rechargeable batteries. Observe the correct polarity. The polarity is indicated in the
battery compartment.
