12. Maintenance and Care
Regularly check the drive and control functions of the electronics at your model. All moving parts have to be easily
movable but there should not be a clearance in the bearing.
The outside of the model should only be cleaned with a soft, moistened cloth. Never use aggressive cleansing agents
or chemical solvents, since this might damage the surfaces.
Important!
If you have to replace any damaged or worn parts, only use original replacement parts.
The spare parts list is located on our website www.conrad.com in the download section to the respective
product. Alternatively, you may also request the spare parts list on the phone. The contact information is
included at the beginning of these operating instructions, chapter „Introduction“.
Damage to the boat’s body should only be repaired with suitable instant glue that is also suitable for fibreglass-
reinforced plastics but not water-soluble. We recommend 5-minute epoxy glue.
The drive shaft must be regularly lubricated. This is usually indicated by more water than usual being in the boat body
after a voyage and/or by the drive running roughly.
Remove the shaft completely in these cases by loosening the shaft tappet in the body and pulling out the shaft. Grease
the shaft with a bio-degradable grease and reinstall it.
13. Disposal
a) General Information
Electronic devices must not be disposed of in the domestic waste!
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries/rechargeable batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable batteries. Disposing
of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the adjacent symbol
to indicate that disposal in the household waste is prohibited. The descriptions for the respective heavy
metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (the names are indicated on the battery/rechargeable battery
e.g. below the rubbish bin symbol shown to the left).
You may return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official collection points of your community,
in our stores, or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
