19. Return home function
The quadrocopter has a return home function which causes it to fly backwards automatically. This is the opposite
direction to which it was aligned when switched on (see Figure 19, Diagram A). As with headless mode, the direction
the front of the quadrocopter is facing at the time is not a factor (see Figure 19, Diagram B).
Important!
The return home function should only be activated if the quadrocopter has flown too far from the pilot in
the previously defined forwards direction and the pilot is in line with the quadrocopter facing forwards. If
the quadrocopter has flown to the side, it could fly past the pilot when the return function is activated and
therefore end up farther away (see Figure 19, Diagram C).

To enable the return function, briefly press the button for
the return function (see also Figure 1, no. 9). Once the
return function has been enabled, the transmitter will con-
tinuously emit beeps in triple rhythm and the LEDs on the
quadrocopter will flash in triple rhythm. The quadrocopter
will now automatically fly in the opposite direction to the
set forward direction.
If the quadrocopter has flown backward far enough, push
the joystick for the bob and roll function (see also Figure
1, no. 4) in any direction and the return function will be
terminated automatically.
The transmitter's beeps stop and the LEDs on the quadro
-
copter remain permanently on.
