Fuel system, engine
• Impurities must not get into the tank or the carburettor and/or definitely not into the engine. Impurities can cause spark failures under load or a bad idle speed
setting. In the worst case, an impurity between the cylinder lining and the piston can cause the piston to get stuck or lead to a piston seizure.
• For safety reasons, install a fuel filter between the tank and the carburettor to filter out particulate material from the fuel.
• Only use fuel intended for RC cars!
• Always use fresh fuel and keep the tank cap firmly shut. Over time, model fuel absorbs humidity. The humidity reduces the fuel's performance and leads to
engine problems and corrosion in the engine.
• Empty the tank if you do not use the model for several days. The volatile components of the fuel, nitromethane and methanol, evaporate and leave behind oil
that enriches the mixture and can block tubes or pipes.
• If you want to stop driving for the day, screw off the glow plug and drip a few drops of after run engine oil (low-viscosity machine oil) into the cylinder. Re-attach
the glow plug and turn the model a couple of times upside down to allow the oil to spread out in the combustion chamber. This prevents corrosion.
• If you do not use the model for a longer period of time, e.g. in winter, drip 2 - 3 drops of preservation oil (accessory) into the cylinder.
• Fasten the fuel hoses at the connector nipples with thin cable ties or special hose clips (accessories). Otherwise the oil in the fuel can cause slipping.
Air filter
The air filter prevents dirt from getting into the engine via the intake air. Impurities that get between the cylinder lining and the piston via the intake air cause the
piston to get stuck or lead to a piston seizure, destroy the motor and cause consequential damage to the drive section.
• Clean the air filter with paraffin or low viscosity machine oil (air filter oil, accessories).
• If you want to clean the air filter with a washing-up liquid and water, rinse it thoroughly afterwards. Soap residues could otherwise get into the engine and
damage the lubricating film.
• Oil the air filter afterwards with air filter oil.
• Never drive without air filter!
• Fasten the air filter with a thin cable tie.
10. Disposal
a) Product
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household
waste is prohibited!
Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with the symbols shown to the left. These symbols also indicate that disposal of these
batteries in the household waste is prohibited. The heavy metals concerned are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead (the names are indicated
on the battery/rechargeable battery e.g. below the rubbish bin symbols shown on the left).
You can return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at any collecting point in your local community, at our stores or wherever
batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
11. Declaration of conformity (DOC)
The manufacturer hereby declares that this product adheres to the fundamental requirements and the other relevant regulations of Directive 1999/5/EC.
