PRIOR TO INITIAL OPERATION
▪
The machine may be delivered with the wheel guard
mounted at the factory. Ensure that the wheel guard is
mounted properly and fixed reliably prior to the initial
and any following operation.
▪
The machine may be delivered with the wheel mount-
ed at the factory. Ensure that the wheel is mounted
properly and fixed reliably prior to the initial and any
following operation.
▪ Check the position of ON/OFF switch. The battery
shall be connected and disconnected to the pow-
er tool only when the switch is in OFF position. If
the battery is connected to the power tool with the
switch in ON position, the machine will not start, be-
cause the non-self starting safety (NVR) will be ac-
tuated. To start the power tool you must first switch
it off and then on again.
WARNING:
Always switch off the power tool
prior to any adjustment, servicing, maintenance or
upon removing the battery.
▪
Make sure the grinding wheel diameter and thickness
do not exceed the values specified on the name plate.
The peripheral speed indicated on the wheel must not
be less than 80 m/s. The wheels must be stored ac
-
cording the recommendations of the manufacturer.
▪
When using diamond cutting discs, pay attention that
the direction-of-rotation arrow on the diamond cut-
ting disc and the direction of rotation of the machine
(see direction-of-rotation arrow on the machine head)
agree.
▪
Check that the auxiliary handle is properly mounted
and reliably tightened.

Current overload:
The display is
active during operation with the ma-

-
tection switches off the machine. To
restore normal operation first switch
off and then on switch (3).
Non-self starting safety (NVR).
Indication is activated upon connect-
ing battery to machine with its switch
in ON position. To run the machine
you must first switch off and then on
switch (3).
INDICATOR FOR CURRENT SPEED
(RS 18LIE MA)
(FIG. 3)
Each pressing the speed selection button (15) whether
the ON/OFF switch is on or off results in consecu
-
tive passing through the five speeds in both directions
(
I - II - III - IV - V - IV - III – II - I
), which is indicated by il-
luminating the three LEDs (13) for 5 seconds. First press-
ing of button (15) results in displaying the current speed.
At next pressing the button the speed changes increas-
ingly within 5 seconds, except when the current speed
is
V
. In this case the change is in decreasing direction.
The recommended speed for different applications is
listed in the table below:
